Twitter account deletions on 'pause' after outcry.

         Twitter has said it will "pause" plans to disable inactive accounts following user backlash, a day after announcing plans for a huge cull of such accounts.

         The social network said it now would not remove accounts until it had a process for "memorialising" dead users on the network. It admitted not having a policy in place was a "miss on their part" The firm said it was taking action on inactive accounts due to regulatory concerns.

        President Gotabaya Rajapaksa arrived in New Delhi yesterday commencing his two-day official visit in India. The President is scheduled to meet Indian President Shri Ram Nath Kovind and Prime Minister Narendra Modi during the visit.

       He was warmly welcomed on his arrival at the Indira Gandhi International airport. President Gotabaya Rajapaksa is visiting India on an invitation extended by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The Indian visit of President Rajapaksa is his first overseas tour after he took office.

        The Tesla Cybertruck is an all-electric battery-powered light commercial vehicle in development by Tesla, Inc. Three models have been announced, with range estimates of 250–500 miles (400–800 km) and an estimated 0–60 mph time of 6.5–2.9 seconds, depending on the model.

        The stated goal of Tesla in developing Cybertruck is to provide a sustainable energy substitute for the roughly 6,500 fossil fuel powered trucks sold per day in the US. The base price of the rear-wheel drive model of the vehicle will be $39,900, with all-wheel drive models starting at $49,900.

            Lamasooriya Valley is beutyfull Location in Sri Lanka. Lamasooriya Village is encircled by the Lihiniyagala, Ethibedigala, Bambaragala and Naranthalawa hills. The fields are irrigated with the waters of the Beliul Oya which originates in Kabaragala and flows through the valley. Its water is diverted above the valley at the Lamasuriya and Serupitiya anicuts which flow on the upper periphery of the left and right bank fields respectively. The Beliuloya is a tributary of the Mahaweli and should not be mistaken with the Belihul Oya which originates in the Horton Plains and flows into the Samanalawewa Reservoir. According to villagers the Lamasooriya anicut was said to have been built in 1847 by the British.

         Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) 03.08.2019 launched was its island-wide pre-election campaign aimed at the presidential election.

‘V-CAN’ app

       SLPP has introduced e-canvassing in the country for the first time through their election campaign. Using a mobile app called ‘V-CAN’, the SLPP promoted the party ahead of the upcoming election by visiting numerous houses across the country.
          They visited  the door steps of registered voters and distributed leaflets while sending information and response of voters to their questions to a main operations center in Colombo using a mobile app.

        The e-canvassing campaign of the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna was continued  for the second consecutive day. However, party representatives had charged that someone had launched a cyber attack on the ‘V-CAN’ app.

            Vijayaba Kollaya is a 2019 Sinhala-language historical and romance film directed by Sunil Ariyaratne and produced by H. D. Premasiri under the banner of Sarasavi Cines with co-production by Kumuduni Dias Haputhanthri, Chandu Haputhanthri and Chandil Haputhanthri. The film stars Hemal Ranasinghe, Senali Fonseka and Ashan Dias in lead roles. Rohana Weerasinghe will compose the film's soundtrack. Speaking on this Proffessor says, “It is big challenge to do a film based on this particular novel. Firstly it requires a massive budget and spent over Rs 70 million for this production.
